The results of a detailed examination of the circumstances surrounding all cases of Sudden Infant Death (Crib Death) in Utah over a 3‐yr period, strongly suggest the influence of an environmental stimulus or trigger. Of the parameters investigated the leading candidate at the moment appears to be low‐frequency noise—either naturally occurring in some sizes of family home, or produced in a moving automobile.
