The conceptual design of a Heat Recovery Module (HRM) for cogeneration applications is described. The HRM is a prepackaged, pretested and skid-mounted system sized for the 500 to 1000 kW class of industrial gas turbine. Key features of the module include: • a highly compact, once-through boiler fabricated using finned Incoloy 800 tubing • a dual-fuel supplementary burner for greater system operating flexibility • a prepackaged water treatment system incorporating feedwater softening rather than deionization • a fully integrated microprocessor-based control system Design criteria and operating characteristics are presented.
