International audienceThis paper describes a model for analyzing external and internal helical gears. The finite prism method is used to study the elastic behavior of the structure. Contact deformations are also included in the model. Load sharing, pressure distribution, meshing stiffness and three-dimensional tooth fillet stresses are calculated at each instant. An experimental validation of the numerical model is also presented
