Continuous surgical wound infusion with local anesthetics is an effective and widely used technique in postoperative pain management. Some aspects of this technique, however, require further investigation. The aim of this study was to retrospectively assess whether continuous infusion of ropivacaine delays the process of wound healing, with an increased incidence of infection.
