Summary The conjugative plasmid pWBG637 and its derivatives, pWBG636 and pWBG642, were tested for incompatibility against conjugative and non‐conjugative plasmids in Staphylococcus aureus . They were compatible with other conjugative plasmids and plasmids of the 14 established incompatibility groups. They therefore define a new Incompatibility group 15.
