1. Summary In intact cells of Yersinia enterocolitica , loss of the YompF protein reduced the outer membrane permeability parameters for two β ‐lactam compounds, cephaloridine and nitrocefin. Additional loss of the outer membrane YompC protein resulted in further reductions in the permeability parameters. We conclude that the outer membrane proteins YompC and YompF of Y. enterocolitica are porin proteins.
