Methanolobus tindarius and Methanococcoides methylutens were shown to contain a cytochrome c in concentrations of 0.189 and 0.306 μ mol/g membrane protein, respectively. A cytochrome b was present in much smaller amounts. Methanoplanus limicola was found to be devoid of cytochromes.
