Summary Palaeomagnetic and radiometric studies of samples collected from the Paganzo succession of north‐west Argentina date the base of the Kiaman Magnetic Interval at 295 My. A more exact correlation of the Paganzo sequence with the geological time scale is deduced from the palaeomagnetic and radiometric results.
