A new species of Alkanna Tausch, A. mughlae H. Duman, Giiner & H. Sagban sp. nov., is described and illustrated. The species is restricted to the south‐western corner of Anatolia growing on coastal limestone cliffs. Diagnostic morphologic characters for a detailed discrimination from the most similar taxa are discussed.
