The new anamorphic yeast K uraishia piskuri , f.a., sp. nov. is described for three strains that were isolated from insect frass from trees growing in F lorida, USA (type strain, NRRL YB ‐2544, CBS 13714). Species placement was based on phylogenetic analysis of nuclear gene sequences for the D 1/ D 2 domains of large subunit r RNA , small subunit r RNA , translation elongation factor‐1α , and subunits B 1 and B 2 of RNA polymerase II B . From this analysis, the anamorphic species C andida borneana , C andida cidri , C andida floccosa , C andida hungarica , and C andida ogatae were transferred to the genus K uraishia as new combinations and C andida anatomiae , C andida ernobii , C andida ishiwadae , C andida laoshanensis , C andida molendini‐olei , C andida peltata , C andida pomicola , C andida populi , C andida wickerhamii , and C andida wyomingensis were transferred to the genus N akazawaea .
