The Brazilian Symposium on Collaborative Systems is a place for the discussion on the development, the use and the impact of collaborative systems in organizations and within society. Adopted by organizations, groups and society, collaborative tools became popular, such as: emails, chat, blogs, collaborative editors, videoconferences, virtual communities, social networks etc. The issues concerning the research in this area comprise the theory and practice of how to promote collaboration among people, considering social and technical aspects;
