Message from the MDDS Workshop Chairs

he MDDS workshop, acronym for “Mobility in Databases and Distributed Systems”, is an annual international workshop running in conjunction with the DEXA conference series. The MDDS workshops provide an important forum for the dissemination and exchange of new ideas and research related to mobility aspects in distributed systems, database systems and advanced applications on mobile computing platforms. MDDS 2002 is the fifth workshop which builds on the success of the previous four events.
