The quantitative feedback theory is adopted as a robust control scheme for the distribution-static-compensator (DSTATCOM) in order to deactivate the effects of variations in its harmonic filter parameters on the fault ride through the capability of wind turbines (WTs). These variations may be due to factors like component aging and thermal drift. The DSTATCOM is applied in parallel with the wind generation (WG) together with a bridge-type-fault-current-limiter in series, to improve FRT capability of the WT. This proposed robust control strategy of the DSTATCOM is applied to a microgrid, including WG. The performance of this proposed scheme is simulated in PSCAD/EMTDC environment and the results indicate its efficiency.
