The title compound, C 5 H 14 N 2 2+ ·2H 2 AsO 4 − , contains a network of centrosymmetric doubly protonated 2‐methylpiperazinium cations, showing disorder of the methyl group, accompanied by dihydogenarsenate anions. The component species interact by way of cation‐to‐anion N—H⋯O and anion‐to‐anion O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, the latter leading to infinite sheets of the H 2 AsO 4 − anions containing R 6 6 (24) supramolecular loops.
