The one‐dimensional title compound, [ZnCl 2 (C 2 H 4 N 4 )] n , contains ZnCl 2 N 2 tetraheda linked by N , N ‐bridging cyanoguanidine molecules. A network of N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds help to establish the crystal packing.
