In the title compound, C 15 H 9 Cl 2 NO 3 , the central double bond is trans configured and the dihedral angle between the two planar fragments of the molecule is 44.53 (4)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by C—H⋯O and C—H⋯Cl contacts.
