The title compound, C 9 H 11 N 3 S 2 , crystallizes with two molecules in the asymmetric unit, which differ mainly in the degree of planarity. The C=N double bonds are trans configured. Geometric parameters are in the usual ranges. The crystal structure is characterized by N—H⋯N and N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds.
