The crystal structure of myo ‐inositol dihydrate, C 6 H 12 O 6 ·2H 2 O, previously reported by Lomer, Miller & Beevers [ Acta Crys t. (1963), 16 , 264–268], has been redetermined, and the positions of the H atoms of the hydroxyl groups were located, showing an ordered hydrogen‐bonding scheme.
