Molecules of the title compound, C 8 H 7 NO 4 , are linked into centrosymmetric R 2 2 (8) dimers by paired O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and these dimers are linked by two C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into sheets of R 2 2 (8) and R 4 4 (18) rings.
