The title compound, C 21 H 17 N 5 , was prepared using a microwave‐induced condensation reaction between 5‐amino‐3‐methyl‐1‐phenylpyrazole and formaldehyde. The molecules lie across twofold rotation axes in space group C 2/ c and are into chains by a π–π stacking interaction.
