The title compound, [Fe(C 5 H 5 )(C 9 H 10 NO 2 )], was prepared from ferrocenecarboxylic acid and serine. In the crystal structure, mol­ecules are arranged in chains with an inter­molecular hydrogen bond between hydr­oxy groups and N atoms.
