The title compound is a stoichiometrically solvated salt, [V(C 5 H 7 O 2 ) 2 (C 10 H 8 N 2 )]ClO 4 ·CH 2 Cl 2 . The ionic components are linked by three C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains from which the solvent dichloromethane molecules are pendant, and pairs of antiparallel (inversion‐related) chains are linked by a single π–π stacking interaction.
