The Ni atom in the title complex, [Ni(C 5 H 7 O 2 )(C 4 H 11 NO) 2 ]Cl, is in a distorted octahedral coordination environment. Cations are linked into centrosymmetric dimers via O—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds involving the OH groups of the 2‐(dimethylamino)ethanol ligands and the Cl − anions.
