The title compound, (C 2 H 10 N 2 )[ZnCl 4 ], contains a network of ethyl­enediaminium cations and tetra­hedral tetra­chloro­zincate anions. A three‐dimensional network of N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, some of which are bifurcated, helps to establish the crystal packing.
