The title complex, C 7 H 4 N 2 O 6 ·C 2 H 6 OS, involves an intermolecular hydrogen‐bond motif between the carboxyl and the sulfoxide groups. This motif has precedence in the Cambridge Structural Database, and is shown here to be more favourable than a possible carboxylic acid homodimer.
