The structure of the title compound, C 19 H 20 N 2 O 6 S, has been determined as part of an ongoing investigation into the preparation of bis‐ N ‐alkylated amino acids for subsequent alkene cross‐metathesis reactions to generate dynamic combinatorial libraries. The overall molecular conformation is stabilized by well defined intramolecular C—H⋯O interactions.
