In the paper by Özbey et al. [ Acta Cryst. (2002), E58, o1269o1271 ], the Scheme and systematic name are incorrect. The correct Scheme is shown below and the correct systematic name is 1‐[2‐(2‐naphthyl)‐2‐(propoxyimino)ethyl]imidazol‐3‐ium chloride.
