Instanton Contributions in Two-Dimensional Nonlinear O(3)σ Model

The correlation length in the two-dimensional nonlinear O(3) σ model is calculated with contributions of instantons included. It is given by ξ=0.0125a exp[2π/f(a)]f(a)/2π where f(a) is the coupling constant defined in lattice regularization scheme and a is the lattice spacing. This number remarkably coincides with the result of Monte Carlo simulations by Shenker and Tobochnik
