Comment on charmonium bound-state calculations using potentials

We show that using the Dirac equation to calculate quark bound states can give rise to significantly different eigenspectra than those obtained by using the same potential in the Schr\"odinger equation, even when $〈\frac{{v}^{2}}{{c}^{2}}〉$ is small. The origin of this effect is identified and discussed.
