The vacuum wave-lengths of thirty-one lines in the arc spectrum of krypton have been compared directly with the red cadmium standard using a reflecting echelon in vacuum. Uncertainties connected with the dispersion of normal air and the specification of the laboratory air used have thereby been eliminated. Estimates of uncertainty suggest that there is justification in expressing the values to eight significant figures.
