1.The Band Lines which go down to 2p 3 Πfrom the 4d 3 Complex . This paper is an immediate continuation of Part Π which described the band systems whose lower levels were 2p 3 Πab and whose upper levels were 3d 3 Σg , 3d 3 Πb , 3d 3 Πa , and 3s 3 Σg . In the present paper (Part III) we start by describing the band systems which end on 2p 3 Πab and come from 4d 3 Σg , 4d 3 Πb , 4d 3 Πa . and 4d 3 Δb . After that we consider the properties and constants of all the various levels 2p 3 Πab , 3d 3 Σg , 3d 3 Πb , 3d 3 Πa , 3d 3 3d3 Δb , 3d 3 Δa , 4d 3Σg , 4d 3 Πb , 4d 3 Πa , and 4d 3 Δb . Most of these constants are worked out from the Appendix, in which the energy levels and the intensities in the bands are shown to be in good agreement with the wave mechanics.
