H C V genome , differently from other agents of viral hepatitis, was demonstrated in the late 1980's using molecular cloning techniques (1). H C V is a R N A virus included in the flaviviridae group and causative agent of the disease known as "parenterally transmitted non-A , non -B hepatitis" for long time. It is among the most encountered agents of chronic hepatocellular disease and generally report ed as to be the primary cause in developed coun tries such as USA, Japan and Western Europe.
