IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is the most common form of glomerulonephritis worldwide. Up to 40% progress to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) over 10-20 years. Currently, treatment is limited. We studied the use of mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) vs placebo in a group of North American IgAN patients at high risk for progressive disease.
