The purpose of this study was to evaluate the inhibitory effect of roxithromycin on the production of interleukin (IL)-1beta, IL-6 and tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) in a murine tibial osteomyelitis model using Staphylococcus aureus.
