Notification

1. Short Titile.These rules may be called the Maharashtra Tax on Lotteries Rules, 2007. 2. Definitions.(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,(a) “Act” means the Maharashtra Tax on Lotteries Act, 2006; (b) “Form” means the forms appended to these rules; (c)“Government treasury” means the Reserve Bank of India, and includes any other Bank declared by Government as Government treasury for the purposes of the Act; (d) “registering authority” means the registering authority appointed under rule 4; (e) “section” means a section of the Act. (2) The words and expressions used but not defined in these rules shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
