I have the pleasure to invite you on my trip—or rather voyage, from childhood to retirement as a fisheries scientist. We will go fishing, do fishing gear and aquaculture research, provide scientific management advice, and cooperate with developing countries along the way. My advice to young scientists is to build trust, have passion for your work, and make it relevant for sustainable development.
