Treatments were replicated four times on single-potted trees in the greenhouse. Sprays were applied dilute with a hand sprayer at 40 to 50 lb/in2 on 12 Apr. Three leaves from the spring flush on each potted tree were flagged and total leaf counts of living motile spider mites were taken. A stereomicroscope was used to examine the entire upper and lower surfaces of each attached leaf. The count of each attached leaf was recorded as one observation. Water pH was 7.4.
