Field tests were conducted to determine the relative efficacy and residual life of three Dursban formulations compared to standard materials currently in use for cockroach control. The tests were conducted in low income housing units located in Indianapolis, Ind. Evaluations of insecticide efficacy and residual life were accomplished by comparing the percent reduction in cockroach populations over time. Pretreatment visual counts were made, an insecticidal treatment was applied, and posttreatment counts were taken at intervals of 24 h, 2 weeks, 1 month, and at monthly intervals thereafter until ineffective or project termination.
