Cabbage was transplanted 3 0 June at the Veg. Res. Farm, near Geneva, N.Y. Plots consisted of two 10-ft rows on 36-in centers with plants spaced at 16 in. Treatments were replicated four times in a randomized complete block dsign. A 2-row tractor-mounted boom, with three nozzles per row and delivering 35 gal/acre at 50 lb/in2, was used to apply a single application of each treatment. Applications were made 30 Sept. with evaluations on 7 Oct. Evaluations were made by randomly selecting three plants per plot, removing all leaves, and counting the above-mentioned Lepidopteran larvae and apterous and alate aphids.
