Six insecticides were applied to selected ornamental plants to evaluate potential phytotoxicity. Experiments were conducted between Feb and Dec at the University of New Hampshire greenhouses or at Pleasant View Greenhouse, Loudon, NH. The plants were arranged in rows and were sprayed at rates of 0.5, 1x (recommended rates), 2x, and 4x using a CO2 compression sprayer at 40 psi. Temik 10G was incorpoorated into the soil by means of a hand-held rate sprinkler and was then watered into the soil. Each experimental rate was applied to 4 single plant replicates, to the point of runoff. The plants were examined 4, 5 and 7 days after application.
