The test was conducted near Alton, MO on ca 13-in fescue. Insecticide sprays were applied on Aug 10 to 60 x 60 ft plots with 4 replications. Grasshoppers were late instar nymphs and adult meadow grasshoppers (80%) and redlegged grasshoppers (20%). Sprays were applied at 20 gpa and 40 psi using 8002 flat fan nozzles on a 20-ft spray boom. Evaluations were obtained at 48 h post treatment by taking 10 (180 degree) sweeps with a 15-in sweep net. The temperature at treatment was 83°F. The data were transformed by X + 0.5.
