Treatments were applied to single-tree plots replicated 5 times. An unsprayed buffer tree separated trees within and between rows. Sprays were applied dilute with a handgun at 200 psi, ca 2 gal/tree, using a John Bean sprayer on Jun 26-27. Water pH was 7.0. Twenty-five leaves from the spring flush were examined at random around the outer canopy of each sample tree. Each leaf was examined for motile spider mites and the count was recorded as one observation.
