Vydate L was applied at Urbana in early morning calm with a handgun at 200 psi using ca 350 GPA. Weekly dates of application after full bloom (Spr 26) and temperatures for the day were as follows: May 4, min. 8.9°C, max. 25; May 12, min. 0, max. 18.3; May 27, min. 12.8, max. 21.1. Single tree plots were arranged in randomized complete blocks replicated 5 times on each of 2 cultivars. Mites were sampled by picking 100 leaves per plot, brushing and counting immediately in the field.
