Three different systemic insecticides were evaluated for control of Nantucket pine tip moth on mugo pines. The test was conducted on the 0SU Horticulture Research Farm outside of Stillwater, OK. Treatments were applied on May 8. The mugo pines were approximately 12 inches tall and were being grown in 3 gal containers. All plants were watered after treatments were applied. Each treatment was replicated 10 times in a randomized block design. Prior to treatment all plants were found to be infested with first generation tip moth larvae. Two weeks after treatment all damaged ^terminals from plants were cut and inspected for dead larvae.
