Seventeen treatments were evaluated for the control of the carmine spider mite on cotton. The treatments were applied with a CO2 backpack sprayer with a boom equipped with three 8001 flat nozzles. All sprays were applied on Sep 18 at 40 gpa and 40 psi. Each plot measured 20 ft of row with 4 replicates per treatment. Leaves were picked from the upper portion of the cotton plants and counts made in the laboratory with the aid of a stereozoom microscope. There were 53.9 mites/leaf Sep 18 (pre-treatment count).
