Plots were established at the Rosemount Agricultural Experiment Station, Dakota Co., MN, on Waukegan silt loam. Treatments were applied Jul 16 to 2nd year alfalfa in 54 x 50 ft (0.05 acre) plots in a complete randomized block design with 3 replications. Treatments were applied with a tractor-drawn boom sprayer in 27 gal/acre at 100 psi pressure. Insect populations were sampled Jul 19 with a 15 inch diameter sweep net by taking 25 pendulum sweeps/plot.
