Sunflowers were planted Jun 10 at the Rosemount Agricultural Experiment Station, Rosemount, MN. Plots were 48 x 50 ft, arranged randomly in 3 replications along the flight path of the aircraft. Sprays were applied Jul 15, 21, 28, Aug 5, 19, and 26 with a fixed-wing agricultural aircraft delivering 5 gal/acre at 33 psi. Populations were light in all plots and were largely dominated by the banded sunflower moth. Twelve heads were randomly collected from each plot on Sep 12 and examined for seed injury.
