DeKalb C42Y was planted on July 10 by conventional tillage methods on a McKinnon Farm in Forsyth, Georgia. Sprays were applied on Aug 12 with compressed-air sprayers calibrated to deliver 60 gal per acre at 30 psi. Plots were 6.1 m x 3 rows and were separated by 1 untreated row or 1-m alley. Treatments were replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. Larval populations were estimated by counting larvae on plants within a 3 m section of the middle row of each plot.
