A 10 year old block of Italian prunes was selected for this test. An early application of 3 oz/100 gal of Pydrin 2.4EC was used to eliminate predatory mites. A completely random design with 5 single tree replicates per treatment was used in this test. All plots were sprayed to the point of drip (400 to 500 gal per A) with handguns at 400 to 500 psi on Jul 9. Samples of mites were taken at weekly intervals by collecting 25 leaves per tree. Leaves were brushed with a mite brushing machine and the mites counted under a binocular microscope.
