Three tests using mound drenchesof individual colonies established in Cecil clay soil were initiated on June l'79, June 6'79 and Oct 4'79. Control was evaluated I and 7 da after treatment. Colony survival was indicated by the presence of defensive workers or the appearance of newly constructed mounds nearby. Treatments were replicated 3 times with 3 mounds per replicate. Data were analyzed by the least squares method.
